Since 1948, we've served customers nationwide from our Des Moines, Iowa location. We offer a full line of construction tools, supplies and PPE that cater to concrete, asphalt, excavating and HVAC commercial contractors. Key brands include Milwaukee, Diablo, Marshalltown, Simpson, Klein, Mar-Mac, W.R. Meadows, DeWalt and more. We also specialize in burlap paving covers for curing concrete as well as custom burlap, canvas, and cotton bags for a variety of industries and applications.
Commercial Bag and Supply Company was originally founded in 1948 by two brothers, under the name Commercial Bag and Textile. The company began manufacturing burlap and cotton parts bags.
In 1976, the Bassman family purchased the company and began to diversify the business' offerings.
In 1984, the business name was changed to Commercial Bag and Supply Company to better recognize its growing diversification of products, including contractor and janitorial supplies.
In 1991, the company moved to their current location at 1244 Second Avenue in Des Moines.
In 2021, Brad Lilienthal and Jason Curry purchased the company and Commercial Bag & Supply became Commercial Supply Co.
Today, Commercial Supply Co. offers a full line of supplies, including textiles, contractor supplies, packaging supplies and janitorial supplies.
Cutting and sewing of custom sized bags and fabric from burlap, cotton, and canvas is still the core of our business. Additionally, we are a major distributor of polypropylene bags, mesh bags, bulk sandbags, and many other supplies.
